Irakli Ghachava implemented Georgian language support in the medusajs/medusa repository by adding the ka-GE locale to the translation module’s default locales. Using TypeScript and leveraging internationalization and localization best practices, he integrated Georgian into the existing translation pipeline, enabling Georgian-speaking users to interact with Medusa in their native language. This work expanded the platform’s multilingual accessibility and improved the user experience for customers in Georgia. Over the course of the month, Irakli focused on feature development rather than bug fixes, demonstrating a solid understanding of Medusa’s codebase and the technical requirements for scalable localization workflows.
