Over two months, he developed asynchronous I/O pathways by embedding the SPDK bdev layer and implemented C++ wrapper classes to enable non-blocking operations on block devices. He further extended PhotonLibOS with SPDK NVMe interface wrappers for local SSDs and introduced an RPC server for remote block device management. His work included updating the build system with CMake to support DPDK, SPDK, and F-Stack, and providing comprehensive examples and tests, demonstrating depth in C++, system programming, and storage optimization.
