
Hongyi Yu contributed to the Genesis-Embodied-AI/Genesis repository by developing batch rendering capabilities and enhancing ground-plane tiling controls within the Genesis engine. Using C++ and Python, Hongyi integrated the Madrona batch renderer, refactored rendering modules, and updated CI pipelines and documentation to support scalable rendering workflows. The work exposed new configuration options for scene layouts, allowing users to specify plane and tile sizes when generating meshes. Comprehensive tests were added with Pytest to validate rendering across various configurations, improving reliability and maintainability.
