Worked on the music-assistant/server repository to enhance the reliability of volume control by addressing a bug that allowed raw volume levels to exceed user-configured limits during command redirects to protocol players or external controls. Applied asynchronous programming and backend development skills in Python to enforce min/max volume scaling, ensuring that user-facing constraints are consistently respected across server and client integrations. Developed and integrated targeted unit tests to validate the new scaling behavior, preventing future regressions. This work improved the predictability and safety of volume command routing, directly supporting a more stable and user-friendly experience for end users and integrators.
