During two months on the ArcherYEM/wannabeDev repository, Hotzuri developed and refined core features for a Gift Shop storefront and a photo album management system, focusing on both frontend and backend integration. Using Java, Spring Boot, and JavaScript, Hotzuri implemented user authentication with modal flows, email verification, and secure password recovery, while also establishing robust CRUD operations for photo albums with proper data-layer and permission controls. The work included CSS layout standardization, code refactoring for maintainability, and repository hygiene improvements. Hotzuri also addressed security by enforcing strict comment deletion permissions, ensuring data integrity and user trust within the mini-hompi feature.

April 2025: Security-focused bug fix for comment deletion authorization in ArcherYEM/wannabeDev's mini-hompi feature. Implemented strict access controls to ensure only the comment author or homepage owner can delete a comment, preventing unauthorized deletions and strengthening data integrity and user trust. Delivered with clear traceability via a focused commit and concise change log.

March 2025 saw the Gift Shop feature set mature from initial frontend scaffolding to a user-ready storefront experience, alongside foundational authentication improvements and a new content backend for photo albums. Key frontend work included the Gift Shop Frontend Core, header integration, and a standardized 1280px CSS layout, paired with a refactor/rename of GiftShopController for maintainability. Authentication now includes an ID/password modal flow, email verification, and recovery/change workflows, enhancing security and user self-service. Backend work established Photo Album scaffolding with folder structures and tests, followed by full CRUD capabilities and related data-layer/DDL updates to support content management. Additional improvements covered JS fixes, code cleanup, and repository hygiene to reduce friction for future releases and collaborators.
