Worked on stabilizing error handling for the index page of the listenbrainz-server repository, focusing on backend reliability and maintainability. Applied Python expertise to narrow exception handling, ensuring that only specific errors are caught and that core logic executes outside exception blocks. Enhanced logging was introduced to provide clearer, structured error messages, supporting easier debugging and improved observability. The refactor improved code readability and data handling paths, reducing the risk of user-facing failures. This work emphasized robust error handling and logging practices, contributing to a more stable backend environment and facilitating future maintenance for the listenbrainz-server project.
