Worked on the vmware-tanzu/vm-operator repository to stabilize vApp configuration property handling following a govmomi library upgrade. Addressed a critical bug that affected vApp properties, ensuring correct behavior during and after the upgrade process. Enhanced the reliability of the upgrade path by adding targeted tests for vApp configuration properties and updating existing tests impacted by the library changes. This approach improved continuous integration feedback and reduced risk for customers upgrading govmomi within VM Operator. The work was carried out using Go, with a focus on API development and testing, resulting in restored test coverage and improved system stability during upgrades.
