During January 2025, contributed to the conda/rattler repository by implementing support for the Linux PPC32 BE platform. This work involved extending the Platform and Arch enums in Rust and updating the package recognition and processing logic to correctly identify and handle PPC32 BE Linux environments. The approach leveraged conditional compilation and enum definition to ensure maintainable, cross-architecture platform support. By broadening rattler’s compatibility to include PPC32 BE, the changes expanded platform coverage and potential business reach. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with stability confirmed through existing pipelines and workflows focused on packaging and platform support.
