In August 2025, Hossam Sane focused on enhancing the intel/PerfSpect repository by implementing cross-runtime support for container monitoring. He extended the cgroup scope to include cri-containerd, enabling PerfSpect to manage and observe containers running under this runtime. Using Go, Hossam integrated container management and system monitoring techniques to improve resource tracking and observability for containerized workloads. This work addressed the need for broader runtime compatibility, allowing more accurate performance analysis across diverse environments. While the scope of work was concentrated on a single feature, the technical depth demonstrated a solid understanding of Go programming and container orchestration concepts.
