During November 2024, Hsfg6 delivered a targeted localization enhancement for the deltachat/deltachat-android repository by updating the app’s metadata to support Traditional Chinese. They created a new full description file and revised the app title to accurately reflect the Traditional Chinese name, addressing both metadata accuracy and user experience for Chinese-speaking users. The translation work was completed using Weblate and involved careful handling of the Chinese Traditional Han script. This update improved store discoverability and aligned with the project’s broader localization strategy. The work demonstrated focused application of localization skills and laid a foundation for future multilingual support in the app.
