Worked on expanding EOF validation testing within the ethereum/execution-specs and ethereum/execution-spec-tests repositories, focusing on enhancing stack safety for the Ethereum Object Format runtime. Developed comprehensive test suites in Python and Markdown to cover stack overflow scenarios for RETF, JUMPF, and CALLF, as well as non-constant stack heights and edge cases across the full stack range from 0 to 1023. Synchronized validation tests and updated EOF trackers to improve traceability and regression detection. This work strengthened the robustness and security of the EOF runtime, providing improved quality gates and resilience ahead of upcoming Ethereum Virtual Machine releases.
April 2025: Expanded EOF validation testing across ethereum/execution-specs and ethereum/execution-spec-tests. Delivered comprehensive test coverage for EOF stack safety, including overflow scenarios for RETF, JUMPF, and CALLF, tests for non-constant stack heights, and edge cases across a broad stack range (0-1023). This work strengthens the robustness and security of the EOF runtime and reduces risk ahead of upcoming releases. No production bug fixes were completed this month; the primary impact comes from improved quality gates and regression resilience through extensive testing.
