He implemented a feature that renamed the Canary Protocol to Legacy Canary Protocol throughout the metadata, reflecting its deprecation status and clarifying its role for downstream consumers. To support transition planning, Hugo introduced a deprecated flag within the protocol metadata, enabling clearer signaling for both internal and external stakeholders. This work was completed using TypeScript and backend development practices, emphasizing careful metadata updates and maintainability.
