The release standardized the MIT license and bundled third-party licenses, ensuring distribution readiness and legal clarity. Addressed build-system hardening by updating dependencies such as make, openssl, clang, and libclang, which improved CI stability and reproducibility. Integrated Rust and bash to resolve cross-language compatibility issues, particularly with rust-htslib, by adjusting build variables and paths. These efforts enhanced the packaging workflow, reduced post-release issues, and enabled reproducible builds, demonstrating a methodical approach to DevOps and package management.
