In December 2025, Hu Peh developed The Pure Tone theme for the Zed Editor within the zed-industries/extensions repository, focusing on UI/UX design and front end development. The work centered on delivering a minimal, clean aesthetic to enhance the editor’s user interface, with careful attention to user experience polish and configuration accuracy. Hu Peh updated project configuration files, including TOML, to introduce submodule references that enable seamless integration and maintainability of the new theme. While the contribution was limited to a single feature over one month, the implementation demonstrated a methodical approach to theme integration and cross-theme adoption.
