During March 2025, Hurd contributed to the ydb-platform/ydb-go-sdk repository by enhancing observability and metric accuracy within the SDK. He implemented a new gauge metric to expose the SDK version and extended QueryService metrics with a label field, enabling more granular tracing and improved monitoring. Using Go and leveraging his expertise in backend development and metrics, Hurd also addressed a bug in session query latency labeling, ensuring TimerVec accurately categorized latency metrics. These changes improved the reliability of SLA tracking and facilitated data-driven performance optimization, reflecting a focused approach to backend observability and robust SDK development in Go.
