Worked on the AI-middleware-frontend repository to enhance keyboard shortcut navigation within the application’s front end. Focused on React and JavaScript, the developer scoped keyboard shortcuts to activate only on critical pages such as testcases, configuration, and history, preventing unintended activations elsewhere. This was achieved by updating the useEffect dependency array to monitor the pathname, ensuring shortcuts responded accurately to navigation changes. The approach improved user experience by gating shortcut functionality and reducing errors on non-target pages. The work demonstrates attention to detail in front end development, emphasizing reliability and maintainability in user interface interactions without introducing new bugs.
