During June 2025, Hidde van Duijn enhanced the schubergphilis/terraform-aws-mcaf-s3 repository by improving the S3 bucket lifecycle rule configuration. He introduced support for an empty prefix when no filter is provided, ensuring compatibility with newer AWS provider versions and exposing this configurability through module outputs. Using Terraform and HCL, Hidde focused on aligning the module’s behavior with AWS provider versions above 5.99.1 to reduce upgrade risks and maintain forward compatibility. He also improved code hygiene by cleaning up test-related outputs and applying formatting fixes, resulting in more reliable CI processes and easier long-term maintenance of the module.
