During November 2024, Hao Zhao developed core audio synthesis capabilities and automated orchestration for distributed audio processing within the L42i/SPRAWL repository. He built the WaveSynth audio engine and a SuperCollider-based GUI, enabling real-time control of frequency, range, and duration, and refined the user interface for clarity and usability. Leveraging Ansible and shell scripting, Hao established deployment tooling to synchronize and manage a ring of devices, supporting scalable, multi-device audio workflows. Comprehensive documentation and onboarding materials were added, improving developer experience. The work demonstrated depth in system administration, signal processing, and UI development, laying a robust foundation for future expansion.

In November 2024, delivered core audio synthesis capabilities and established automated orchestration for a distributed ring of devices, enabling scalable, synchronized multi-device audio processing. The work progressed from engine development to end-to-end deployment tooling, setting the foundation for rapid, repeatable launches of WaveSynth across devices and environments.
