Worked on the wandb/wandb repository to enhance the reliability of experiment parameter logging within the LightGBM integration. Focused on backend and full stack development using Python, the main contribution involved fixing a bug that prevented log_params from being correctly passed to the wandb_callback during LightGBM runs. This targeted code change restored full parameter tracking and improved experiment reproducibility by ensuring that all relevant parameters are logged as expected. The work demonstrated careful debugging and a disciplined approach to closing a functionality gap, resulting in more complete and reliable experiment logs for users leveraging the LightGBM and WandB integration.
