Developed and integrated a type-safe KyselyDataSource for PostgreSQL within the dbos-transact-ts repository, enabling transactional queries in DBOS workflows using TypeScript and Node.js. The implementation included a KyselyTransactionHandler to support both read-only and read-write operations, with comprehensive unit tests validating transaction paths and ensuring data consistency. Enhanced onboarding and adoption by expanding documentation in dbos-docs, providing detailed installation, setup, and upsert examples for the new Kysely integration. This work improved developer productivity and reduced integration risk by streamlining database integration and transaction management, while maintaining a strong focus on type safety and technical clarity throughout the process.
