During February 2025, work focused on the elizaos-plugins/registry repository, where a foundational Merkle Trade Plugin was developed to introduce merkle-based trade support. The approach established a plugin-scoped architecture, isolating new functionality within a dedicated directory and registering it in the plugin registry, which preserved the stability of the existing codebase. No modifications were made to core files, reducing integration risk and maintaining backward compatibility. The integration was documented to clarify interface points for future contributors. The work primarily involved TypeScript and Git, emphasizing modular design and extensibility to enable additional trade types with minimal disruption to the main application.
