During July 2025, Imas Dekar enhanced authoring workflows across the openedx/edx-platform and openedx/frontend-app-authoring repositories. They developed an API update to include usage_key in ancestor blocks, enabling more precise frontend navigation and data handling for authoring tools. On the frontend, they improved breadcrumb navigation by allowing users to jump directly to the first unit within a course, streamlining content access. Both features were delivered with comprehensive test coverage to ensure reliability and maintainability. Imas worked primarily with Python, JavaScript, and React, demonstrating a focus on cross-repo collaboration, stable delivery, and measurable improvements to user experience and data consistency.
