Worked on the bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton repository to enhance meeting reliability and user experience, focusing on breakout room access control, export flows, and client settings validation. Applied Java, TypeScript, and Playwright to implement features such as hierarchical lock propagation in breakout rooms, credentialed data URL embedding for asset exports, and optional strict validation for client settings overrides. Expanded end-to-end and regression testing to reduce deployment risk and improve stability in multi-room scenarios. Addressed 13 bugs and delivered 8 features, including improvements to shared notes export and video tile behavior, supporting safer rollouts and more predictable behavior for large-scale online meetings.
June 2026 monthly highlights focused on reliability, UX improvements, and expanded test coverage across breakout rooms, export flows, and client settings. Key business value delivered includes more predictable breakout-room access control, more robust exports for empty/note content, and safer client-settings overrides in production. Expanded end-to-end testing and regression checks help reduce deployment risk and improve user confidence in large meetings. Overall impact: improved meeting stability for multi-room scenarios, more accurate tile/grid behavior, and stronger validation of configuration overrides, supporting safer rollouts and faster iteration cycles. Technologies/skills demonstrated: Playwright-based end-to-end testing, credentialed data URL embedding for asset exports, hierarchical lock propagation in breakout rooms, optional strict validation for client settings overrides, and test-driven improvements to shared notes and chat UI behavior.
