Worked on enhancing Slack integration within the archestra-ai/archestra repository by delivering native Slack markdown block support and improving message handling. Focused on backend development and API integration using TypeScript, the work involved migrating message rendering from mrkdwn sections to native markdown blocks to align with Slack Block Kit updates. Implemented logic to split long messages, ensuring compliance with Slack’s 12,000-character limit for markdown blocks, which reduces the risk of message truncation. Expanded test coverage by adding targeted tests for sendReply, validating markdown content and footer context, and addressed formatting regressions to ensure reliable and accurate Slack message rendering.
