During July 2025, the developer integrated the Ext Data Control Protocol v1 into the felixonmars/treeland repository, focusing on centralized data governance and routing. They designed and implemented a dedicated Ext Data Control Manager in C++ and C, connecting it to core system components and example helpers to enable policy-driven data control across modules. This architectural foundation supports future extensibility for data handling and compliance requirements, reducing operational risk. The work demonstrated depth in system programming and Wayland integration, establishing robust hooks for future policy enforcement. Although limited to one feature, the contribution addressed foundational needs for scalable data management.
