Worked on enhancing the Arriba/Arriba module within the nf-core/modules repository by implementing a versioning system using topic channels. The approach involved migrating the module to topic channels and embedding version information directly into the output structure, which improved reproducibility and traceability for downstream users. Care was taken to preserve comments in the meta YAML files, ensuring that documentation and data provenance remained clear throughout the migration. This work, utilizing Nextflow, YAML, and bioinformatics expertise, standardized version signals in outputs and aligned the module with ongoing topic version migration efforts, supporting maintainability and facilitating future updates within the project.
