Developed a per-session usage statistics reset feature for the NousResearch/hermes-agent repository, focusing on improving the accuracy of session-scoped metrics and usage analytics. Implemented the reset_session_state method within the AIAgent component using Python, enabling token counters and related metrics to reset automatically at the start of each new session. This backend development effort addressed issues with stale or misleading usage data, enhancing the reliability of analytics dashboards and supporting more precise billing. Leveraging skills in API integration and state management, the work ensured that per-session usage statistics remained consistent, thereby increasing user trust in reported metrics and overall system transparency.
