Worked on enhancing installation robustness for the Gentleman.Dots repository, focusing on reliable deployment across diverse Linux environments. Addressed shell-change challenges by implementing a fallback mechanism that first attempts chsh and then uses sudo usermod if PAM authentication blocks the change, ensuring compatibility in both interactive and automated setups. Improved the Homebrew installer by rewriting it in bash and enforcing non-interactive execution, which prevents errors in CI and Docker workflows. Utilized DevOps practices, Linux administration, and shell scripting to validate installations end-to-end, resulting in reduced install failures and smoother onboarding for users in containerized and continuous integration environments.
