Worked on enhancing the Xed-Editor repository by implementing Simplified Chinese localization for the user interface, focusing on file sorting options and visibility settings. Leveraged XML and translation workflows to achieve nearly complete coverage of UI strings, ensuring consistency with design tokens and preventing regressions through thorough documentation and quality assurance. Established and integrated a Weblate-based translation process, enabling streamlined and repeatable updates for ongoing localization needs. This approach improved accessibility for Chinese-speaking users and reduced friction in adopting the software. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of localization, software internationalization, and translation, with all changes delivered through XML-based commits.
