Irene Chiam developed a Competition Event Timeline component for the dscubed/dscubed-website repository, replacing a generic heading with a structured, data-driven timeline that displays upcoming competition events, dates, and descriptions. She used React and TypeScript to design a scalable component pattern, integrating it seamlessly into the main competitions page. By leveraging Next.js and Tailwind CSS, Irene focused on enhancing UI clarity and user experience, making competition information more accessible and organized. Although the work spanned one month and involved a single feature, the solution demonstrated thoughtful frontend engineering and established a maintainable approach for future event data integration.
