During August 2025, Is Aack enhanced the onboarding and setup process for the Metaculus/metaculus repository by updating and clarifying the project’s documentation. Focusing on configuration and setup, Is improved the README to provide detailed, cross-platform instructions, particularly for Mac users, and clarified PostgreSQL commands to reduce environment-related issues. The work included step-by-step guidance for installing prerequisites such as pgvector and pyenv, aiming to streamline local development and testing. Using Bash, Markdown, and SQL, Is codified these improvements in a single commit, resulting in a more reproducible setup process and reducing the time new contributors spend troubleshooting their environments.
