During November 2025, iseektruth@qq.com contributed a targeted bug fix to the facebook/react-native repository, focusing on improving CocoaPods installation reliability for Apple Silicon environments. By leveraging shell scripting and iOS development expertise, they addressed a build failure that affected pod installs on M1 and M2 Macs. Their solution involved ensuring the CURRENT_ARCH variable is set to arm64 when running on Apple Silicon simulators, which resolved architecture mismatches and stabilized the onboarding process for ARM-based developers. This work demonstrated a strong understanding of cross-platform build systems and Xcode toolchain integration, resulting in smoother development workflows for the React Native community.
