November 2025: Implemented JWT Token Parsing for SonataFlow Workflows in apache/incubator-kie-kogito-runtimes, delivering a robust parser, end-to-end tests, and code improvements that enhance security, performance, and maintainability. This work enables JWT-based inputs for SonataFlow, strengthening automation and traceability across runtime workflows.

Month: 2025-05 — Focused on enabling a secure, token-based authentication flow across the plugin architecture for redhat-developer/rhdh-plugins. Implemented SCM-based Authentication Token Capture and Forwarding, updating the orchestrator backend to format and include tokens in outgoing requests and enhancing the orchestrator client to fetch and pass tokens to downstream services. This work improves security, traceability, and end-to-end authentication coverage for downstream plugins, with linkage to commit ff929e24bc7af78ed7e53fe24882f8cd263a6597 (#611).

March 2025 — redhat-developer/rhdh-plugins: Delivered Authentication Token Support for SonataFlow Executions, enabling passing an array of AuthToken objects to workflows. Backend updates to OrchestratorService and SonataFlowService to process tokens; API surface extended in OpenAPI to include authTokens in ExecuteWorkflowRequestDTO. This delivery strengthens security, RBAC-ready policy orchestration, and integration readiness with external token providers. Notable change committed: d63524c50c740f64ea331aa8dec9951c0a2b6ab5 (Injecting and passing authProvider and authToken variables to execute sonataflow (#509)).
