

Month 2025-08: Delivered expanded unit test coverage for core networking and IPC components in ROCm/rccl, focusing on comm.h, Proxy.cc, and net_socket.cc. The work strengthens reliability, error handling, and memory management by validating initial states, operation indexing, state dumps, blocking calls, connection establishment, data transfer, and memory deallocation. Implemented via three targeted code coverage commits that add dedicated tests for each component: 6453273aa63a39d6b6873b787f23acfcd0860329 (comm.h), 876f985e0fe7262dad22b432135c7d3abad2236a (Proxy.cc), and c288fbf1b2c037a20d968d000675b7bb0f361270 (net_socket.cc).
