Worked on stabilizing the YaleComputerSociety/ymeets calendar integration by addressing a persistent issue with Google Calendar events not disappearing as expected. Focused on refining the front end using React and TypeScript, the solution introduced logic to clear events when access is denied or when no valid calendar IDs are present, ensuring accurate event synchronization. Enhanced the safe-fetching mechanism to only retrieve events for valid calendar IDs, reducing unnecessary API calls and potential errors. This targeted bug fix improved data consistency and reliability for users, with careful attention to edge-case handling and robust validation throughout the calendar synchronization workflow.
