Worked on stabilizing and refining the admission policy engine in the deckhouse/deckhouse repository, focusing on improving reliability for virtualization workloads. Addressed a key issue by implementing a bug fix that excluded virtualization service accounts from policy validation, thereby reducing false positives and operational alerts during deployments. The solution introduced group-membership-based exclusion logic, simplifying policy checks and ensuring virtualization components were not incorrectly flagged. Utilized DevOps practices and Kubernetes expertise, with changes primarily implemented in YAML. The work provided clear traceability through detailed commit and pull request references, supporting future audits and ongoing maintenance of the policy engine’s validation process.
