Focused on expanding Slovenian localization, this developer delivered six new features across core desktop components, including the elementary/quick-settings, elementary/gala, and elementary/granite repositories. Using Vala and PO files within Weblate workflows, they achieved full Slovenian translations for Quick Settings, Greeter, Granite UI, and Dock, while progressing Gala and Settings Daemon toward completion. Their work improved accessibility and user experience for Slovenian-speaking users by reducing language barriers and enhancing onboarding. The approach emphasized translation metadata management, pluralization, and time formatting, ensuring consistency across repositories. This effort strengthened the product’s internationalization and demonstrated proficiency in localization, software development, and translation.
