During December 2025, Juri Berlanda developed RP2040 Remote Control Platform Support for the esphome/esphome repository, enabling RP2040-based devices to function with remote transmitter and receiver components. This work broadened hardware compatibility and allowed new remote control use cases. Juri focused on C++ and Python development, integrating embedded systems concepts and hardware interfacing to ensure seamless operation across components. The technical approach involved cross-component integration and collaborative development, with code quality maintained through co-authored commits and CI-reviewed changes. No major bugs were reported or fixed, as the primary emphasis was on delivering robust new feature support for the RP2040 platform.
