During June 2025, work focused on enhancing the honeycombio/helm-charts repository by delivering a feature that enables immutable deployments through image digest pinning in the refinery Helm chart. The approach involved introducing template helpers within the _helpers.tpl file to construct image references that support optional digests, and updating refinery, Redis, and deployment marker job deployments to utilize these helpers. This allowed image digests to be specified directly in values.yaml, improving deployment reproducibility and rollback safety. The work demonstrated proficiency in DevOps practices, Helm templating, and Kubernetes deployment workflows, with an emphasis on configuration management and deployment consistency.
