Developed and delivered a Spring Boot Admin RestClient integration for the codecentric/spring-boot-admin repository, focusing on enhancing interoperability between HTTP clients. The work involved implementing a new configuration class and the RestClientRegistrationClient to manage application registration and deregistration through RestClient, streamlining the registration flow. Updated auto-configuration enabled seamless integration of RestClient with existing HTTP clients, reducing configuration overhead for users and improving consistency across client implementations. Leveraged Java, Spring Boot, and dependency injection to ensure maintainability and extensibility. This feature broadened adoption of the Admin client by simplifying setup and providing a unified approach to HTTP client management.
