Developed OSC 777 terminal notification support for the google-gemini/gemini-cli repository, enabling configurable delivery methods to enhance user experience across diverse terminal environments. The work involved implementing logic that adapts notifications based on terminal capabilities, ensuring that action-required prompts and session completions are communicated reliably. Leveraged TypeScript and React to integrate OSC protocol handling and feature flag configuration, focusing on robust terminal I/O management. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on expanding notification features and improving reliability. The contribution improved the flexibility and effectiveness of terminal notifications, aligning them with user and environment requirements.
