Developed a configurable finality lookback and delay mechanism for Layer 2 finalization in the okx/optimism repository, focusing on enhancing the robustness and flexibility of cross-layer finalization workflows. The solution allows operators to adjust the L1 block lookback window and set delays before re-attempting L2 finalization, enabling better alignment with varying network conditions. This work was delivered as a single, well-scoped feature tracked by a dedicated commit, ensuring clear traceability from implementation to deployment. The project leveraged Go for backend and blockchain development, demonstrating a focused approach to improving finalization logic without introducing unnecessary complexity or scope.
