During August 2025, contributed to the biomejs/biome repository by developing a linting rule that enforces consistent use of interface versus type for TypeScript object definitions. This work focused on improving code quality and maintainability by standardizing type definitions across the codebase. Leveraging AST manipulation and code linting techniques in both TypeScript and Rust, the implementation included a migration path and comprehensive tests to ensure safe adoption. While no user-facing features or bug fixes were released, the contribution strengthened TypeScript governance, streamlined onboarding, and enhanced long-term stability by reducing ambiguity and potential defects in object type declarations.
