Worked on the medplum/medplum repository to enhance observability reliability by correcting OpenTelemetry configuration variable names, ensuring accurate references for OTLP tracing and metrics endpoints across different environments. Addressed a deployment bug by aligning both the configuration and documentation, using Markdown to clearly update environment variable references. Focused on configuration management and documentation practices, the work reduced the risk of misconfiguration and streamlined onboarding for new deployments. Demonstrated technical proficiency in managing environment variables and OpenTelemetry/OTLP configuration, delivering a targeted fix that improved monitoring readiness and deployment consistency without introducing new features, but by refining existing infrastructure and documentation.
