During May 2025, James Dabbs focused on restoring and enhancing the bundle delivery pipeline for the pi-base/data repository. He re-enabled the automated upload of JSON bundles to R2 cloud storage by updating the GitHub Actions CI/CD workflow, which had previously been disabled. To improve data integrity, James incorporated a checksum validation step into the upload command, ensuring that only uncorrupted bundles reach storage. His work, primarily using YAML for workflow configuration and leveraging cloud storage best practices, stabilized the end-to-end data flow and reduced manual intervention, resulting in more reliable downstream services. The work addressed a critical production bug.
