Worked on maintaining and enhancing the security of the influxdata/official-images repository by addressing a critical vulnerability in the Docker Library’s Ruby images. Applied containerization and DevOps expertise to upgrade Ruby from version 3.4.6 to 3.4.7, ensuring the latest security patches were included. The process involved updating Dockerfiles, validating builds, and performing regression checks to confirm compatibility across all affected image families and downstream workflows. Documented the changes thoroughly and prepared release notes to support maintainers and users. Utilized Docker and Ruby throughout the workflow, focusing on reducing vulnerability exposure and maintaining compliance within the official image ecosystem.
