During the month, work centered on enhancing the uktrade/platform-tools repository by implementing environment-aware AWS Application Load Balancer access log separation. Using Terraform and HCL, the developer configured the infrastructure so that production and non-production logs are routed to distinct S3 buckets, improving log governance and simplifying debugging across environments. The update included revising unit tests to validate the new conditional logic, which increased continuous integration reliability and aligned with established SRE practices. No user-facing bugs were reported, and the feature was documented and prepared for deployment, contributing to maintainability and clarity in cloud infrastructure management within the DevOps workflow.
