Jamie focused on improving dependency management workflows in the linear/linear repository by reconfiguring automated update processes. They adjusted the Dependabot configuration to shift updates to a weekly schedule and set the open pull request limit to zero, effectively disabling automatic dependency updates. Jamie also removed the scheduled cron job from the dependencies workflow, ensuring that updates are now review-driven and align with organizational policy for stable release cycles. This work, implemented using YAML and leveraging CI/CD and DevOps practices, reduced unnecessary update noise and improved governance. The changes provided a more controlled and secure approach to managing project dependencies.
