Jan-Lucas Schwoerer developed Arch Linux Local Security Checks support for the greenbone/gvmd repository, expanding the system’s ability to recognize and manage Arch-specific security checks. By integrating these checks into the existing taxonomy, Jan-Lucas enabled automated detection and streamlined management for Arch Linux deployments, reducing manual configuration and accelerating onboarding for new distributions. The work demonstrated skills in security auditing, system administration, and C programming, focusing on maintainability and cross-distribution coverage. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the feature deepened gvmd’s vulnerability management capabilities and improved efficiency for Arch-based environments, reflecting thoughtful engineering and targeted problem-solving.
