Worked on core enhancements to Ruby’s networking and security libraries, focusing on correctness and performance. In the ruby/ruby repository, addressed a critical bug in IPAddr by refining the logic for private, link-local, and loopback address checks, which improved the accuracy of IPv6 and IPv4-mapped address detection in network programming contexts. Later, contributed to Shopify/ruby by implementing a new method in OpenSSL::X509::CRL for accelerated serial number lookups, optimizing certificate revocation checks for large CRLs. These contributions leveraged C programming, Ruby, and OpenSSL, resulting in more reliable network utilities and faster, more efficient security-related operations.
